Readings

To start the evening, the editor of Time Out's gay pages, Paul Burston, will read from his new novel about an estranged 80s pop duo - the funny and nostalgic 'Lovers & Losers'. It will bring back a few memories of bad haircuts for some of us.

And VG Lee, known for her cult novels 'The Comedienne' and 'The Woman in Beige', will read from her new book, 'Diary of a Provincial Lesbian'. Victoria Wood meets Alan Bennett in this gentle comedy of one woman, her cat and her very absent girlfriend. If you've never heard Val read, you are in for a treat.

Open mic

If you fancy taking the stage yourself in front of our friendly audience, why not take part in our open mic session? It's your five minutes to read a poem or sing a song. Book your place at 7.15pm (limited numbers).

Music

To top it all off, soulful diva Jess Gardham will sing songs from her new album 'Beyond Belief'. Jess went down a storm at the outdoor concert at last year's YLAF and is on the way up. She's gorgeous and we love her.

MC

Your MC - writer & performer (and ex-YLAF festival director) Helen Sandler - will be making sure everyone has plenty of fun. Or if they don't want to have fun, that they at least clap in the right places.

Dancing

Is that enough? No? OK, we'll clear the chairs and have a dance! After all, it is a dance studio and your hosts Heather & Hadass do want to spin some records and watch you trying to do ballroom... or just having a bop.

Nice place

Studio LaDanza is a lovely venue, with beautiful wooden dance floors, loads of space, no smoking, nice folk... Oh and we've got a drinks licence for the night!

SEE YOU THERE!
